STV-017/017E Outfit  $550 

Another fine entry level violin hand carved from Chinese maple (moderate flame) and spruce.  Adorned with Indian ebony fingerboard, Indian rosewood pegs, chinrest, and tailpiece. The beautiful varnish application represents the care and craftsmanship that goes into making one of these violins.  Built and varnished in Scott Cao's stringed instrument workshop in Guangzhou, China.The STV-017E is carved from European maple and spruce with antique varnish application; improved tone over STV-017, which has Chinese maple and not antiqued. Fully set up in our shop with Aubert bridge and Thomastik Dominant strings.This outfit comes a with lightweight oblong or crescent shaped case with instrument blanket; also includes round Brazilwood bow and one rosincake. Available in 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8 sizes. Other sizes and Scott Cao models available by special order.

STV-500 Outfit    $750

A nice step-up violin to the intermediate level, the STV-500 is crafted with finer woods and and has more complex tone and projects better than the Scotti and STV-017 models.  Hand carved from Chinese maple (moderate flame) and spruce. Adorned with Indian ebony fingerboard, pegs, chinrest, and tailpiece. The beautiful varnish application represents the care and craftsmanship that goes into making one of these violins.  Built and varnished in Scott Cao's stringed instrument workshop in Guangzhou, China.Fully set up in our shop with Thomastik Dominant strings and Pirastro Gold E string. This outfit comes a with handsome oblong case with locking lach and instrument blanket; also includes carbon fiberbow w/ fully lined frog, and rosin. Available in 4/4, 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 sizes. Other sizes and models available by special order.

STV-600  $800

Another nice step-up violin to the intermediate level, the STV-600 is crafted with finer woods and and has a slightly better tone than the STV-500 model.  Hand carved from Chinese maple (well flamed) and European spruce.  Adorned with Indian ebony fingerboard, pegs, chinrest, and tailpiece. The beautiful varnish application represents the care and craftsmanship that goes into making one of these violins.  Built and varnished in Scott Cao's stringed instrument workshop in Guangzhou, China. Fully set up in our shop with Thomastik Dominant strings; Available in 4/4 size only. 

STV-750E   $1200

This is our best selling model for advancing students and fiddlers alike. Not suprisingly, the 750E generally has tone comparable to much more expensive violins. Part of the Artistic Series, 750E is available in copies of  several famous instruments, some with a one-piece back.  These include Stradivari 1699, King Joseph 1737,  Da Salo 1588, 1713, Guadagnini 1776, Ex-David 1740, Kreisler 1730, Lafont 1735, Soil 1714, Vieuxtemps174, among others. We try to stock the Cannon, Stradivarius, and Heifetz models. Fully set up in our shop with Aubert Mirecourt bridge and Thomastik Dominant strings w/ a Pirastro Gold E string

STV-850 Maggini Copy   $1665

The STV-850 is an advanced student or professional level violin built and varnished in Guangzhou, China by top makers using high quality European maple, Italian spruce, Indian ebony fingerboard. This is a strikingly beautiful and elegantly carved Maggini copy violin with a nicely flamed 1-piece back.Set up  in our shop w/ Thomastik Infeld Red strings and professionally cut Aubert Luxe bridge.  Also comes with Letter of Authenticity., This Violin has a warm, sweet tone. 
STV-950 "Cannon"  $2250

The 950 makes a very nice advanced student or professional violin with improved tonal complexity and power over the lesser expensive models.  The 950's are made in the China workshop and varnished in and set up in the US.  Made from all European tonewoods.  The "Cannon" was made in 1743 by Guarneri "del Gesu", named by Niccolo Paganini for its large, full tone.

SYV-150 "Scotti"  $375

The Scotti is Scott Cao's entry level violin, but don't let that fool you! Featuring a beautiful, deep golden brown hand-brushed finish, boxwood fittings, ebony fingerboard, nicely carved bridge, and a well balanced, full, pleasing tone, this is this an excellent starter violin or fiddle.The hand-carved top has moderately tight-grained spruce, with moderate flamed maple back and sides. All boxwood fittings and set up with either steel core or synthetic core strings -- buyers choice! Fully set up in our shop; meets MENC specifications.This outfit come with a durable, well padded shaped case, round Brazilwood bow, and one rosin cake. Available in 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 4/4 sizes.
